It's been an emotional roller-coaster for the last few weeks(well, months..don't ask) and while I'm still handling a lot, I feel I can now start the process of moving forward. My step-dad recently suffered a massive stroke and head trauma, and has passed.

I tried to take as much time as I could to deal with matters of the family and my own feelings, but nothing felt complete till I recently did a portrait of him that you can find in my gallery. [link]
This is one of my most personal pieces yet and I hope I did him proud.

The sucky part is that life still has to go on. I wish I could just stop everything, but perhaps it's the way it has to be...maybe these are the things that show us we have to live our lives a little more, push a little harder, and cherish those who are still here. So I ask you guys to keep checking out my page and blog as I strive to do my best with this art thing. I have some announcements on my blog I would like you all to check out.
